Finchley foodbank was founded in 2013. We provide food and other assistance to local people needing support, supplying clients with enough food for three days. We operate from a position of trust rather than a referral/voucher system.
We would use your donation to buy eggs, cheese, bread, fruit and vegetables to supplement non-perishable donated food. We would also use it buy nappies and hygiene products.
Before the pandemic we helped around 70 people per week. During
the pandemic it peaked at around 420 people. Since then, our numbers have grown
steadily and we are now helping close to 500 people each week.
85 volunteers drawn from the local community operate the foodbank and we are actively looking to increase this number as we expect our client base to increase over the coming months.
