Everest Base Camp
12 months ago reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro was
extremely difficult however this year the task is possibly even greater in
reaching Everest Base Camp (EBC).
Sitting at roughly 60% of the total height of the worlds highest peak in
very rough terrain and awful conditions this will be very tough.
This year (once again in memory of Stuart Howes will be
collecting for two different charities – British Heart Foundation and Royal
Wolverhampton Charity. Both of the
charities which I have chosen, have close links with my late brother Stuart who
sadly and unexpectedly died of Heart Failure last September. The link to British Heart Foundation is self
-explanatory and for Royal Wolverhampton this is where I work, plus they have
reassured me that the money raised can got to Heart and Lung centre at the
hospital to help fund a new machine etc.
The trek will last for 14 days most of which will involve
walking / climbing the immense mountain.
Photos of my amazing journey will be shared through this app t however please note that Wi-Fi will not always be available on my trek
therefore site cannot always be updated during the Trek.
