Len and Clare take on MOUNT KENYA!! 😳
Well this really is a challenge and I am hugely grateful to Len and Clare for taking on the great heights of Mount Kenya in memory of Michael, who loved a great challenge, but sadly died in May 2022 aged 28.
Mount Kenya is just north of Nairobi and is the second highest peak in Africa, after Kilimanjaro. It is an ancient extinct volcano with an impressive elevation of 5199m. They will be hiking on average 10km each day over 5 days, through beautiful bamboo forests, crystal blue lakes and breathtaking valleys. Their aim is to reach Point Lenana (Hikers summit) where they will watch the African sunrise.
I know Len and Clare would really appreciate your support and sponsorship. All monies raised will benefit four incredible charities; Macmillan, Childhood Eye Cancer Trust, Sarcoma UK and The Thames Hospice.
