Cllr Brett Rosehill is Walking the Hertsmere Way for Local Heroes
21st August and 28th August
I was elected as a Borough Councillor in Borehamwood in
February 2020 and it has been an absolute honour and privilege to
support the community of which I live and love.
We’ve all been through an incredibly hard couple of
years. I lost my father in February
2021, having suffered with Parkinson’s Disease for over 30 years. In the past, I have raised money through
events in support of Parkinson’s UK but now it is time to give back to my
community and the local heroes who do so much to care for the vulnerable in our
society.
So… I have decided to embark on a crazy adventure . I will be walking 48 miles over two
consecutive Sundays in August on a walk called Hertsmere Way. The Hertsmere Way runs round the inside boundary
of Hertsmere Borough, using public rights of way where possible, and divided
into several walkable sections.
Throughout April, I have contacted and discussed this
fundraising campaign with several of my favourite heroes and it is my honour to
raise money on behalf of them:
Sebby's
Corner believes no child goes without basic essentials. We supply
items such as clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment to local families
living in poverty.
Borehamwood
Foodbank: Helping local people in crisis.
WD6 Food
Support where six amazing ladies came together to help the needy
residents in Borehamwood.
Gratitude
with attitude! Inspiring happiness in everyone, everywhere!
And… Hertsmere Mencap:
support people with learning difficulties to do the things they love.
