Giving Charlie's Angels a helping hand
Please join us at St Mary's Stadium to give Charlie's Angels a helping hand. Help us to create a linked hand hold representing the distance from Charlie's home to Southampton General Hospital. This event is being raised to raise awareness and funds in honour of childhood cancer awareness month.
Charlie’s Story On 7 March 2024, 11 year old local Southampton school girl Charlie Travers’ life changed forever. Diagnosed with ACUTE LYMBATISTC LEUAKIMIA (ALL) after being mis-diagnosed with various viruses Charlie and her family had a big battle ahead. Moving forward 4 months although Charlie and her family have been to hell and back, she and they continue to fight with courage and determination whilst being supported by the amazing doctors and nurses at Southampton General Hospital, not forgetting the charities Abby’s Heroes and Young Lives Vs Cancer who go above and beyond to support families through the toughest of times.
All money raised will be equally shared between 3 incredible charities - Abby's Heroes, Young Lives Vs Cancer (CLIC Sargent) and Piam Brown ward at Southampton General Hospital. Thank you to everyone of you who braved the weather yesterday to give Charlie's Angels a helping hand, it was an incredible day for Charlie, her family & friends and everyone involved.
