The Running Stormtrooper
Since 2016 I have been raising charity money for Make-A-Wish and Spread-A-Smile by running Marathons and Ultra Marathons dressed in full Stormtrooper Armour. In 2020 I set myself a challenge of running 1000 miles in the costume, which included the London Marathon. I managed to complete the 1000 miles but unfortunately the London Marathon was cancelled due to Covid. The 2022 London Marathon is my postponed 2020 place. My main fundraising page has closed now (Virgin Money Giving have stopped fundraising pages). At the point of closure i had raised £71,000.
I am bringing the costume out of retirement for this postponed race, it seems like a nice way for me to run one last run for both charities. This fundraising page is an opportunity to try to raise some more much needed money for these 2 wonderful charities.
