Cumbrian Mountain Bike Challenge
I feel proud and privileged to be organising and taking part in this Challenge in support of the 30 for 30 Campaign in memory of Michael. He would have turned 30 on Day 2 of our ride and I know he will inspire us all to battle the elements and get it done (whilst probably having a good laugh at our expense).
This is what the following Herbert’s are signing up to:
James McEvoy
Richard Dean
Duncan Leftley
and me .. Malcolm Jeffs
They will all pay for the privilege of taking part and all money will go directly to the Charities that supported Michael and his family.
Day 1 - Drive to Keswick and ride the Borrowdale Bash. (18miles 2350ft elevation)
This is not as easy as it might first appear - the last time we rode this we were at our maximum skill level (A low bar I know!)

Day 2 - Big Breakfast, wait for James to Sudocrem and then ride the Lonscale Crags. (14 miles 1725 ft elevation)
This is an unknown one. The pictures show some steep drops at the side of the trail. Could be an interesting one with the added wind and rain!
Thank you for your support - all donations and money raised will make such a difference to the Charities which supported Michael and his family.
