Operation Tee-Pee

On Saturday 17 June 2023 a group of Napthenites are embarking on their latest challenge in an effort to raise funds for the Napthens Foundation as they tackle the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. The challenge is comprised of summitting Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, totalling 24.5 miles of walking and 5200ft of total ascent. The Napthens Foundation supports causes across the North West that are important to Napthens and its workforce, providing relief to those in need by reason of education, youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. We have seen a great success since launching the foundation and aim to continue this success within our community. We appreciate your support, and to those taking part in this challenge and we wish our team the best of luck.

More about the Napthens Foundation:-

The Napthens Foundation, a charity set up in April 2021 to provide relief to those in need by way of education, youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantages. It is partnered with and administered by the Charities Trust. We are delighted to have seen great success since its launch with many employees and clients getting behind the cause to raise funds for important causes across the North West and beyond. To date it has supported more than 1200 children who have benefited from the foundation’s support so far, after it funded the delivery of curriculum programmes from children’s mental wellbeing curriculum myHappymind at two schools in Blackpool and a third in Preston.  Elsewhere, on International Women’s Day the Napthens Foundation made a £1,000 donation to the Red Cross in support children and families affected by the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, many of whom are currently homeless and without water and foodbank deliveries made through the winter months.  With future plans to continue to raise money for those in need, we will shortly be reaching out to our employees for nominations of how our fundraising efforts can support causes important to them.  Watch this space to learn more about how your donation has helped those need by way of education, youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship!  We are only just beginning..

The monies we raise from this challenge will be distributed from Napthens Foundation to Foxton Centre, a Preston-based charity with a long history and strong commitment to working in the local community with both adults and young people. The Foxton Centre offers their service users a whole host of projects such as Homeless Day Centre, Assertive Outreach, The Rough Sleepers Initiative, Housing First, Streetlink, Making Every Adult Matter(MEAM), Fox Kidz, ATR, Smiths Rec.  They are doing great things in our community and this is something we feel passionately about which resonates strongly with our Foundation.
