Newsome 'Calderdale Way' 52 Mile Walking Challenge

Riding high on the success
of our 2023 National 3 Peaks Challenge we have set ourselves an equally, if not
harder challenge for 2024!!!!
So, on the 14th & 15th June, a team of brave
Newsome individuals will be walking the mighty ‘Calderdale Way‘ raising
money for Overgate Hospice in Elland and the Men’s Mental
Health Charity - Andy Mans Club.
The full length of the route
is 52 miles, with a total climb of over 9,000 feet taking in Calderdale’s most
beautiful scenery.
Last year we raised an
incredible £8,356.74 for local charities and this year we hope to smash this
figure.
Further info on our chosen
charities can be found below.
The money you raise
for Overgate Hospice will provide vital care and support to
local people who are facing the end of their life. Not only this, but you will
be helping to support those closest to them, throughout their illness and into
bereavement.
Together, we will make sure
that the people of Calderdale will be surrounded by love as they face the most
difficult journey.
Thank you so much for
choosing to fundraise for Overgate. Every penny you raise will be helping a
local family make precious memories when time is short.

ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide
prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across
the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s
mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK

As you will be aware both
our chosen charities provide an invaluable service to the area and rely on the
support of others for fundraising.
Everything we raise will be
split 50/50 between the charities.
Thank you for reading and
thank you very much for supporting.
