Your donation to Ironman Barcelona 2023

Sady less women are signing up to Ironman distance triathlons , usually between 11%-20%  I want to support increased representation and visibility within sports and triathlons ensuring sports feel like a woman's space too!  I want to help be a positive promoter of women in endurance sports and events and help others see that they can achieve their goals.

There are many barriers for women engaging in sport and often as girls hit puberty/late teens many have disengaged for a variety of reasons.

I have selected three amazing organisations that support women and girls to not only get into sports, remove barriers they experience but also focus on empowering them to be the best versions of them selves, supporting women to set goals and ambitions and not excluded.

Women Sport Trust -Women's Sport Trust raises the visibility and increases the impact of women's sport through the promotion of diverse athlete role models

Women in Sport - has a track record of success in securing change based on its deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of women and girls at each life stage and its determination to break down stubborn gender inequalities through its work within the sports sector and beyond.

Welsh Women's Aid - National charity in Wales working to end domestic abuse & all forms of violence against women

I hope that you can help me reach my goal raising money for completing an Ironman Triathlon in Barcelona on October 1st 2023. I will also be taking part in 2 70.3 distance events in the lead up Cotswolds 113 on 4th June 2023 & Swansea 70.3 on 16th July.

For anyone who doesn't know, the distances of an Ironman are as follows:

2.4 Mile Swim

112 Mile Bike

26.2 Mile run

totaling 140.6 Miles to be completed one after the other.

I am fundraising/seeking sponsorship for these wonderful charities and playing my part by taking part, pushing my self and being a  role model for others by representing women in these events.
