Your donation to Emilie and Liam’s Great North Run for Em10
This September, Liam and I will be running the Great North Run to raise vital funds for the amazing charities that stood by me during my own cancer journey, and that continue to stand by children and young people facing the toughest battle of their lives.
This run is especially close to my heart, as it will be the last running race I take on. After all the treatment I have undergone, my body simply cannot cope with the strain. That makes this challenge even more meaningful: every mile will be run with gratitude for the help I received and with the hope for those still in the middle of their fight.
For Liam, this run is also deeply personal; he lost his little sister, Ellie, to cancer and he is taking on this challenge, not only in support of me, but in her memory too. Together, we run not just for ourselves, but for every family who has faced the heartbreak of cancer, for every person still fighting, and for the hope that fewer will have to face this in the future. Your support doesn’t just honour our journeys; it honours theirs too.
I know first-hand how much these charities matter, they provide not just treatment and support, but comfort, strength and light in the darkest of times. This is why we are so determined to give back as much as we can with the support of your generous donations.
If you can, please support us. Your donation could be the helping hand, the moment of relief, or the spark of hope a young person desperately needs.
