Your donation to Tez's 24hr Table Tennis-athon

Saturday 24th August at 19.00 to Sunday 25th August at 19.00

After living with a keen table tennis player for over 25 years, I recently decided to have a go myself.

I have been incredibly lucky to have some very talented friends, who have helped me develop my game quite quickly – and I now feel ready to test my skills and fitness levels to the max!

Thus, after discussions with Dan at the Ping Pod, it was agreed that I could attempt a charity 24-hour table tennis marathon, utilising the amazing facilities at the Bristol Pod.

Dan and I then persuaded our partners, Chris and Emily, to help with the organisation and planning of the event.

We soon agreed on a couple of incredible causes that are so important to all four of us.

Macmillan are a charity I have supported for many years, because they do so much tremendous work helping people living with cancer. They do whatever it takes to provide emotional, practical, physical and financial support at every stage of the cancer experience – and we are delighted to have another opportunity to raise money on their behalf.

We are also supporting Cots4Tots and the Grand Appeal as a way of saying thank you for the incredible care and support Dan and Emily’s precious daughter Lily received during her time in St Michael’s NICU.

The Cots4Tots team gave them the ability to spend four priceless weeks with their daughter, during which time their team went above and beyond to ensure that Lily received the most amazing medical care - and provided the accommodation to ensure they were able to stay close to her, to create special memories that they will treasure for a lifetime. We will all be eternally grateful to them for their kindness!

We appreciate that times are tough for many of us currently, but if you are able, please help us to support these two great organisations.
