Your donation to Wight Games Festival 2026

The championships of athleticism and amusement. Where serious meets silly. Witness extraordinary talent across multiple disciplines while celebrating the unique spirit of the Isle of Wight. It’s the Games we never knew we needed, so are you ready, steady, Wight!?"

Brand-new this year, the Wight Games Festival is a community ‘Olympic Games’ for the Isle of Wight. It includes traditional sports such as sailing, tennis and equestrian, but also games and activities to enable everyone to take part in whatever way they can, such as chess, Quizzy Bingo and even Welly Wanging.

All monies raised are to be split between three island charities:
  • Independent Arts is an Isle of Wight charity, established in 1987, using the arts to improve wellbeing, quality of life and to reduce social isolation.
  • Mountbatten is an independent hospice charity which provides health and end of life care and bereavement support to anyone living on the Isle of Wight.
  • The Isle of Wight NHS Trust Charity provides support to cover non-essential items, and improvements for patients, and staff of St Mary's hospital, including the Ambulance service.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate of tax already paid on donations by a donor when that donor is a UK tax payer. This means that we can claim 25p back from the government on your behalf for every £1 donated, boosting the value of your donation by a quarter.

Please note that donations from My Giving accounts aren’t eligible for Gift Aid.
