Your donation to In loving memory of Matt Nand-Lal

My wonderful younger brother Matthew, took his own life on 23rd of May 2023. He was 29 years old.

Matt loved his friends and those around him, and was so grateful for the support and love of everyone. He was a kind, gentle and thoughtful young man but had struggled with mental health issues during his young adult years.

Matt was a very talented young man and achieved a First Class degree and Masters degree at Nottingham Trent University.

Matt loved to travel and see different cultures, and meeting new people. The friends and people around him were so valuable and meant so much to him.

He was an exceptionally talented writer and could often be found helping others with wellness, writing and proof reading related activities.

It has been a devastating loss for all his family and friends, so I wanted to do something in his memory. We have chosen two charities to equally split raised money: Mind, who battle mental health problems, and Pete's Dragons, who provided support for those impacted by events akin to these, in Devon.

I hope this collection goes some way to helping other families impacted by the often unspoken disease of poor mental health in young men.

Many thanks,

Stephen Nand-Lal
