Your donation to Riding for Forces & Families


In support of Veterans in Communities (VIC), Scotty’s Little Soldiers, and Friends of Lancashire Army Cadet Force. Cyclists will embark on an incredible 260-mile sponsored bike ride from The Cenotaph War Memorial, Whitehall, London, to VIC Centre, Haslingden. This challenging journey will predominantly follow canals and waterways, honouring the service and sacrifice of the UK Armed Forces and their families while raising vital funds for military veterans, bereaved children of fallen soldiers, and Lancashire Army cadets. 

Charities Supported: 

Veterans in Communities (VIC) – Supporting ex-service personnel and their families in the NW. 
Scotty’s Little Soldiers – Helping bereaved British Forces children and young people. 
Friends of Lancashire Army Cadet Force – Providing opportunities and support for cadets.

The Route: The riders will cycle 260 miles following a route carefully planned to incorporate the UK’s stunning canal and waterway networks. 

The Finish Line & Celebration: On Saturday 28th June 2025 - 12pm-3pm (Armed Forces Day) the riders will be greeted at the VIC Centre in Haslingden by guests, veterans, families, and Lancashire Cadets from their local detachments. This celebratory event will honour their achievement, acknowledge the dedication of our Armed Forces, and provide an opportunity for the local community to show their support. 

How to Support: 

Sponsorship: Brand Visibility, Media Exposure, Community Engagement, Recognition. 
Join the Celebration: Attend the Armed Forces Day event at the VIC Centre in Haslingden. 28th June 12pm – 3pm  
Spread the Word: Share the challenge across social media using #ForcesAndFamilies 
Donations: Support the riders by donating to the event’s official fundraising campaign.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by donor if they are a UK Tax payer. This means we can claim back from the government on your behalf 25p for every £1 donated, boosting the value of the donation by a quarter.
