Graham's Skydive for St Georges Hospital
Reminded by an email from AFC Wimbledon of an appeal to support St Georges Hospital £5m Children's Appeal, inspired me to do my own fundraising event to support such an important cause which is personally close to me. This is why I am here to raise funds doing my own skydive fundraising event on the 21st of August 2022.
60 years ago as a teenager I was admitted to St Georges Hospital as a result of a bowel blockage. At this time the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit did not exist, with it only being built in the 70s. So post my operation I was on a heart monitor positioned in a curtained off area of the ward next to the the nurses desk. Where I spent 2 and bit months receiving treatment, sufficiently recovering in time to gain permission to attend Wimbledon's Amateur FA Cup Final at Wembley.
The unit being built in the 70s is now in need of updating and St Georges need help to raise £5m by 2024 to transform children's services at the hospital. Please donate so children can continue to receive the care and facilities that they deserve.
